A stem cell treatment for back and neck pain is an effective, minimally invasive therapy for reducing chronic pain and improving your quality of life. Unlike conventional therapies, which tend to mask the problem and leave the underlying pathology unchecked, stem cell-based therapies have the potential to relieve symptoms, promote healing, and restore function to damaged and diseased tissue.

Dr. John C. Haasis III is board-certified and has over 25 years of experience helping patients treat chronic pain with innovative stem cell therapies. If you would like to improve your well-being without the risk of anesthesia, long surgical scars, or lengthy downtime that requires you to take time off of work, stem cells can help you enhance your quality of life.

At the Daisy Institute, we can help you rejuvenate your body with stem cells, which are an effective form of regenerative medicine that can help your body generate new cells. Regenerative medicine treatments for neck and back pain are “cutting edge” options for individuals experiencing daily pain refractory to traditional treatments and wanting to avoid spinal surgery.

About Back and Neck Pain

The spine is a complex network of vertebrae, joints, soft tissue, muscles, ligaments, cartilage, and nerves. Many of these structures can be the source or cause of pain. We can use non-surgical stem cell therapy to address a variety of painful conditions.

Back pain is a common issue that affects approximately 80% of people during their lives. (1) With stem cells, we can address both acute or chronic back and neck pain to improve your ability to perform daily activities. During stem cell therapy, we use allograft stem cells – donor cells that have been purified to help your body quickly repair vital tissues and reduce inflammation. Finding relief from back and neck pain can drastically improve your quality of life, especially if chronic pain interferes with your ability to work, spend time with loved ones, or do the things you enjoy.

Lumbar spinal stenosis, a common cause of back pain, impacts approximately 103 million people globally. (2) Back and neck pain are often accompanied by shoulder pain. We can customize your procedure to help you address several areas during one treatment.

Suitable candidates for stem cell therapy would like to enhance their mobility and decrease disruptive, chronic neck and back pain. During your consultation, Dr. Haasis will discuss the location of your pain and perform a physical exam to determine the best treatment plan. Suitable candidates would often like to improve chronic pain from conditions such as herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, or spinal stenosis and:

  • Have experienced previous spinal injuries or trauma
  • Are seeking non-surgical treatment options to alleviate pain
  • Wish to enhance their overall function and quality of life

He will also ask about your current medications and lifestyle to determine how stem cells can support you in managing your pain. If you have had previous stem cell treatments, we can discuss what worked for you and how we can create a more effective treatment plan. • Cease smoking for 6 weeks before and after your procedure
  • Eat nutritious meals to support your body and maintain your energy levels
  • Sleep for 7-8 hours each night

You will need to come to your appointment in comfortable clothing that is easy to remove for your treatment. Dr. Haasis will use a very thin needle to administer the stem cells so you can enjoy improvements in mobility without the risk of scarring or recovery time associated with anesthesia.

Recovery & Results

After your treatment, you may experience temporary swelling around the injection site. Avoiding strenuous exercise for approximately one week will be important for helping your body heal and generate new cells. During your recovery, you will need to:

  • Avoid any high-impact sports or activities that involve your back or neck
  • Refrain from heavy lifting exercises or any activity that puts strain on your back or neck
  • Stretch regularly and take good care of your body

After the treatment, you can return home immediately to rest.
